The Simon Companies Continues Green Initiatives in 2011 With Focus on Energy-Efficient Renovations

BRAINTREE, MA – The Simon Companies, a professional developer, owner and manager of commercial and multifamily real estate, continued its Green Initiative in 2011 with its focus on energy efficiencies as part of a $25 million capital improvement plan for commercial and multifamily properties owned and managed by The Simon Companies throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

Renovations to The Simon Companies’ multifamily properties have maximized the use of renewable and maintenance-free materials, energy-efficient lighting and Energy Star-rated appliances throughout the company’s portfolio. The installation of new boilers, air conditioning units, siding, windows and insulation has yielded significant savings on energy costs.
